Sometimes, I find myself in a position to take that “postcard” photo – the one that you’d find on a wall in a souvenir store. One example of this is a recent trip to Pittsburgh. I was able to capture these stunning shots at twilight (between sunset and total darkness) or the “blue hour” which is that time around/just after sunset where the sky is just beautiful. Before you ask, no, these aren’t “Photoshopped” — only some minor tweaks here to straighten horizons and such. Everything you see here is from getting the right exposure and white balance.
